Surfers can find
good, general legal information on
the Internet. To obtain specific legal
counsel for an actual case, however,
contact a lawyer. Here’s why.
Online counsel is usually not
strongly client-focused. Personal dialogue
between clients and legal resources is
limited, so advice may not be germane
to a client’s specific issues.
Digital advice may be “generic law
with a credit card.” Clients sometimes
receive quick, canned answers from a
menu of legal responses. But state laws
vary, so distant clients may receive inappropriate
counsel. Legal information
may be outdated as well.
Web site law is generally unregulated
by jurisdictional authorities, such as bar
associations, so no one monitors the
quality or accuracy of information dispensed.
Only attorneys currently licensed
in our state may legally provide you
with legal advice. Advice appearing in
chatroom discussions may not even come
from a lawyer.
When it comes to serious legal matters,
such as business transfers or living trusts—
or certainly personal injury—seek the
professional counsel of an attorney.

Greg Larson focuses the majority of his time and
energy on his clients, sports, and baseball card and
comic book collecting—in that order. Many nights, Greg
can be found in his office, burning the midnight oil for
one of San Diego Law Firm’s civil litigation clients.
A graduate of the University of North Dakota School
of Law, Greg moved to San Diego in 1987. He gained
his expertise in the area of civil business litigation over
the past 14 years by litigating a wide variety of disputes,
including business, securities, and real estate cases. It is
this invaluable background that Greg brings to bear on
his clients’ cases.
Greg has also been involved with the Big Brother program since 1987. He is
proud that his “little brother” is now a successful adult. Greg feels that this
experience has strengthened his professional life while enriching his personal one.
An avid sports enthusiast, Greg can often be found cheering on his favorites at
professional sporting events. An equally avid collector, his sports card collection
boasts more than 50,000 vintage cards, most from 1970s professional baseball. He
has also spent many years putting together a vast library of thousands of comic
books, including a largely complete collection of the Spiderman series.
If you come by our offices late at night, there will probably be a light on in
Greg’s office. He is most likely there preparing a civil case for one of our clients.
Then again, maybe Spidey is visiting.
